Northwoods Wildlife Center is a non-profit 501(c)3 wildlife rehabilitation and education facility located in Minocqua, Wisconsin. We strive to provide a better future for wildlife through rehabilitation, education, and research.
Northwoods Wildlife Center admits 600-700 injured, sick, and orphaned wildlife patients each year, with the ultimate goal of recovery and release back into their natural habitat. We ensure all animals are cared for and treated in the most ethical and humane way. We continue to work with Department of Natural Resources as they work to define regulations and procedures for wildlife rehabilitation. We can be reached at (715)356-7400 24 hours a day for wildlife emergencies.
Northwoods Wildlife Center’s Education Department provides wildlife- and nature-based programming to over 10,000 people a year throughout the Midwest. Guided public tours are provided year-round of the ambassador animals that live at the Center permanently. Ecology-based programming is available on- and off-site for school groups, libraries, camps and resorts, community organizations, etc.
