COVID-19 Update 9/04/2020

Following the recommendations of local and state public health authorities, Northwoods Wildlife Center is practicing responsible social distancing which means our facility has fewer volunteers at this time.

This reduced staff also means a limited capacity for accepting new rescued wildlife. Please note that an appointment must be made in advance. To determine if the wildlife needs care, please reference our information on “I Found an Animal” page. If the wildlife does needs care, please call 715-356-7400 to schedule your appointment.

We know you may be concerned about our staff and animals and we want to reassure you that a core team of staff will continue to provide care for our animals and operate critical systems at the NWC. Thank you for your continued support.

Found an animal in need? Animal admissions by appointment only. Please call first (715) 356-7400.

Take a tour!  We are offering tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays, on the hour from 10am-4pm. We will begin offering Saturday tours on September 12, 2020. Tours are outside only, by reservation only, and masks are required. Please call (715) 356-7400 to schedule a tour.

We are currently not accepting walk-in visitors. Please call first if you have found an animal in need. We are closely monitoring the rapid evolution of the COVID-19, and are taking measures to protect our staff, volunteers, and the public.
