For those of you who love the water, love beautiful craftsmanship, or maybe know someone who does, we have great news for you! It is time again for our annual canoe raffle and this canoe could be yours.

This year's canoe is 12 feet long and holds two people. Hand worked cedar makes it not only beautiful, but surprisingly light. At only 35 pounds, and with a yoke in the center, this canoe can easily be carried by one person. There are storage compartments at the front and the back, and paddles are included. Remarkably well crafted, this canoe is water worthy, and has several layers of epoxy protecting the hull meaning that any·scratches or scrapes can simply be buffed out.

If you aren't from the Northwoods, or aren't here year round, don't worry we will gladly work with you to ensure that you receive the canoe if you are our lucky winner.

Raffle tickets are available to purchase at the Northwoods Wildlife Center, and throughout the summer at various locations and events. $5 buys one raffle ticket, and $10 buys three.

The drawing will be held Wednesday, October 17th at 2PM at the Northwoods Wildlife Center. You do not need to be present to win.

Please remember that all proceeds go towards caring for injured and orphaned wildlife here in the Northwoods. If you purchase a ticket not only do you have a chance at owning a functional work of art, but you also help some of the animals that call this area home.
