How to Donate
Donations
The Northwoods Wildlife Center is a non-profit organization and even though we are regulated by both the state and federal governments, we do not receive funding from them, nor do we receive tax money.
Therefore donations are the backbone of our finances. If you want to help the animals here at the Northwoods Wildlife Center, there are many options available. If you would like to help us for a year (or more) annual memberships and animal sponsorships are available.
We can always use monetary donations to help purchase food and supplies or pay the utilities. Or maybe you have a couple items from our wish list in your home that you don't need any more that our animals can use.
Maybe you love shopping. We have numerous items available in our gift shop and our annual canoe raffle, the procedes of which all return to the facility.
If you find that you would prefer to donate your time, we are always looking for volunteers to help with administrative, educational, and rehabilitation duties.
Perhaps you would like to leave a more permanent donation in the form of a project, such as new enclosures or displays. Many projects such as new resident and patient cages can be sponsored in the name of someone. If you would like more information or to find out which projects are available contact us at (715) 356-7400.
We would like to extend a personal THANK YOU! to all Chicagoland schools and teachers that participated in donating to the Northwoods Wildlife Center the last few years. If your classroom or shool would like to set up a donation drive, please contact Mike, our rehabilitator and former Chicago resident at (715) 356-7400.
